Thursday we met the MACUL Outstanding Technology-Using Educators of the year... Erin Klein (@KleinErin) and Brad Wilson (@dreambition) -- Lets start by writing the titles don't do these two individuals justice. Erin Klein was info-fantastic. She "pinned" so many new ways to excite learning on us that our conference debriefing session with one another lasted an entire morning and took two pots of coffee to complete. Go to her Pinterest web page and you'll know exactly what we're writing about. The other exciting idea-item she provided is Aurasma. This allows for you to create augmented reality items from pictures... I'm totally excited to use this in my lesson planning... view the intro video and check out the app below.

Later that same day, at the "Power of the PLN in Your Backyard" session, we were able to meet Brad Wilson, along with the other notable Twitter Celebrities of this panel. We're especially thankful to the #MichEd twitter chat group. These individuals truly inspire us; they're the impetus behind our finding the magic of social media chatting. For they have taught us the power of a Twitter PLN. Its our ally in education "...and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere (~Yoda)." For it connects us with the world of pedagogy beyond our classroom walls. These are very special people indeed. In an effort to properly thank them all here's the list:
The Power of PLN Pals
Digital Footprints -- we all have them; are yours publically appropriate?
To write that the 2014 MACUL Conference in Grand Rapids was a success is to not do it justice -- it was incredible. We would also like to thank our school district, the Grosse Pointe Public Schools, for making this adventure possible. We've already penciled in March 18-20 in 2015 on our calendars and look forward to the next of our AdventureZ.
